Had a very busy past week or so at work, so I’m posting this early and chilling tomorrow.

• Homecomings / Moon Shaped ★
  • Time to spend five minutes and 17 seconds feeling all the emotions.
• Nakajima Ikkyu / Dead (CW: flashing)
  • Some Britpop revival from Ikkyu of tricot and more recently Genie High.
• VH (Vast & Hazy) / How Hard (CW: flashing)
  • I like this, but I’m not quite sure about the exotica influences in the production. If it were not a Taiwanese indie band but rather a Taiwanese boyband doing exotica, I would have definitely roasted them for it ^^;
• Tail / Toxic
  • Mukai Taichi has rebranded and released a gay club banger (co-produced by Kenmochi Hidefumi!)
• yomm / Alice
  • For some dreamier dance pop.
• Sawa Angstrom / Bubble!
  • I think I said the same thing the last time I listened to one of their songs, but wow this is mainstream for them! Still a bit of that signature skitter though.
• meme tokyo. / Cute Turn (CW: flashing) ★
  • You know what’s been missing from the Y2K revival? DDR aesthetic. Thankfully, Meme Tokyo is here to save us! Also spot the few (un?)intentional callbacks to another era-definer, “Je Veux Te Voir” (Myspace version).
