A day late but that’s what I get for boxing week shopping (derogatory). Usually I have my albums roundup written a week in advance too, but I haven’t even started yet! *grimace*

• Sawa Angstrom / Quest
  • Less unnerving and more danceable than I remember them.
• Elephant Gym / Feather (feat. Tendre) ★
  • Elephant Gym in their math jazz groove. This is the Japanese version of the song and Tendre’s lyrical delivery contributes to its mathy abruptness.
• Oni no Migiude / Isaho Ho
  • Eerie j-rock take on traditional folk music. If you like yahyel check them out.
• kinoue64 / Yure Ugoku
  • Hatsune Miku goes post-punk and I’m really enjoying it.
• Elisapie / Qimatsilunga (I Want to Break Free) ★
  • A haunting cover of the Queen classic in Inuktitut.
• neochi / Itsumo Dekinai Koto (Things I Can’t Yet Do)
  • This is more pop than I would expect from Daijiro Nakagawa — uplifting and twinkling hope.
