  • Perfume have been touring in Europe and here is a new song they performed!
• Nyarons / Koko de Save shite ★
  • More electropop! This one’s along the lines of Perfume’s “Time Warp” — cheery retro futurism — and it’s a delight.
• Qubit / G.A.D
  • Daoko’s new band and it’s definitely going down the experimental, Tokyo Jihen–inspired route.
• cali≠gari / kindan no takanari
  • cali≠gari occasionally have some new ideas and execute them well.
• chilldspot / get high ★
  • A very Western-style indie pop ballad. I am a sucker for architectural shots in a music video.
• Sakamato Maaya / Time Traveller
  • Following up from last month, here’s the other end of the Maaya spectrum: a pop-rock power ballad composed by Kitagawa Katsutoshi of Round Table.
• polly / morningrise
  • polly knows how to appeal to the market: this single is pure dream pop shoegaze while the rest of the EP is sad anime rock. They got me!
• Niall Horan / On A Night Like Tonight
  • The requisite 1D member released an album update.
• Regal Lily / Liner ★
  • Happysad rock song with a great singalong chorus.

P.S. Two unexpected returns to the music industry this month: toe and Charisma.com. Neither new release were really my thing.
