[at intermission]
there was half naked ben whishaw holding a sword right up to a tied up half naked colin morgan i’m.
i’m in 2nd row; i’m sitting right in front of these hardcore fangirls. it is fangirl central in here ahaha. [edit 2019/07/24: mostly colin fans and iirc one of them had stage doored at a previous show.]
[later]
k so i just got out and: holy shit mojo was amazing.
the writing’s just so brilliant, repetition of the same phrases to mean different things, and a lot of it is secondary storytelling which seems strange at first but turns out to be crucial. the acting was surprisingly physical and unpredictable and omg i feel so bad for tom rhys harries hanging upside down so long.
i was sat in 2nd row so a lot of 2nd-hand clove smoke inhalation 0/0 would not recommend—worth it though.
somehow i’ve seen enough of ben whishaw’s stuff to recognize his puzzle pieces of his acting but he is still amazing.
colin morgan idk what to say ?? ?? he was quite good. [edit 2019/07/24: i didn’t recognize colin at all until fully halfway into the show; he looked so different from on screen.]
rupert grint was brilliant; he and daniel mays played off each other so well. also at curtain daniel mays whispered something that looked supportive to rupert and rupert looked up at the dress circle and it was really cute! this being rupert’s professional theatre debut and all.
a video of the neon sign outside harold pinter theatre; some photos of the programme.
