This is the first of 2 Slide posts. Considering the first one took me 3 years to post, don’t get your hopes up.
Notes
The text in the Slide icons are quoted or paraphrased from the doujinshi itself. We all know Tezuka’s 30, but Slide’s Fuji is a very psychotic 14-year-old.
11. “There isn’t much time…” (narration, v3 p14)
12. “How easy it is to destroy a person’s heart, and make it into a kingdom that belongs to you and you alone.” (Fuji, v2 p14)
14. “Look at me” is repeated throughout Slide. Also, “If you were ever to become someone else’s even for an instant, I would be very displeased.” (Fuji, v1 p21)
15. “I feel like I’m chasing a ghost. Although we meet and talk every day…I can never find you.” (Tezuka to Fuji, v3 p10)
17. “If it forced a change, then surely, in that moment, to merely call it a ’catalyst’ would not be enough.” (narration, v1 p1)
19-20. Quote applied to the wrong person. “But it’s only destroying [Tezuka’s] physical condition even more, little by little.” (Oishi, v4 p10)
22. “Nothing, really. We just keep company with one another?” (Fuji talking to Tezuka about Tezuka’s ex-girlfriend, v1 p18)
27. “Say goodbye to the Tezuka that you knew.” (Fuji, v3 p23)
29. “Hey, if Tezuka is that important to you, then why don’t you stand guard over him all day? Though as far as I’m concerned, you still won’t be much of an obstacle.” (Fuji, v1 p30)
30. “You are my most difficult opponent.” (Fuji to Tezuka, v1 p24)
35. “Because sometimes, a foolish desire like that becomes the strongest kind, quite unexpectedly. Well, though, considering that we’re all animals, it’s nothing but a fault.” (Fuji, v2 p14)
39. “If only [Fuji] were that cruel, would anyone have fallen that far into his clutches?” (Tezuka, v3 p8)

The coloured icons took 3–5 hours each, since I did most of them from scratch >_> Hilariously, I spent hours doing the background and blood in #18, and 20 mins top on the skin and eyes. Fun fact: #13 and #14 are ’shopped to make Tezuka and Fuji closer to each other.
